In today’s post, I’m sharing with you a quick and easy recipe for summer: Japanese side dish – Spinach Salad with Sesame Sauce.

Spinach salad with sesame sauce (or horenso gomae) is a quick and easy Japanese side dish. Horenso means spinach. Goma means sesame. And e means sauce.

Served at room temperature or cold, this recipe is great for the hot summer weather. If you’re looking for one extra dish to fill your dinner table, spinach salad with sesame sauce will be a perfect choice.

Ingredients

Japanese spinach side dish
  • 1 bunch of spinach
  • 2 tbsp of white sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp of honey
  • 1 tsp of sugar
